Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home having a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle nsfas 2025 is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until nsfas 2025 the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid nsfas check delays in the processing of their application.
